Job Opening: Quality Assurance Technician II / Assembly-DS3 Shift
Description
OVERVIEW The position is responsible inspection of sub-assemblies and finished product according to quality standards and procedures. Inspections include first articles, in-process inspections, release of finish product and Statistical Process Controls (SPC). Informs production personnel of non-conforming materials. Analyzes defective parts and provides feedback to Production personnel. Works with engineering and manufacturing teams in projects related with improvement of equipment, materials and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Inspects parts being produced per established procedures and AQLs • Reviews defective parts coming from machines, analyzes them and provides feedback to Maintenance Technician and Production personnel. • Collects scrap from all machines and reviews it for potential salvaging, and disposition of parts within Quality Module • Generates Defective Material Reports (DMR) for non-conforming materials. • Responsible for controlling inventory within MRB • Completes and interprets Statistical Process Controls charts and histograms, enters inspection data into Infinity Software • Ensures control plans and associated documentation are maintained. • Monitors and reports on quality related issues, scrap, rework levels, and parts per million (PPM) • Stops production in the event of manufacture of unacceptable goods/processes. • May assist in train direct labor personnel and others. • Undertakes special assignments as required. • Contributes and participates in continuous improvement activities. • Position requires an individual who is enthusiastic, hardworking and team player.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate or Technical degree • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Inspection Systems (Smartscope, OGP) • GD+T experience, able to read and understand drawings • Understands how to use and apply correct inspection tools/equipment for various inspection methods. • Statistical background
