Job Opening: Welder

WELDER POSITION IN WEST CHESTER AREA 

Position Summary: The Welder’s primary responsibility is mig welding of aluminum and steel parts. Each job must be run with safety, accuracy, and timeliness in the welding area. This is a production welding position.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 1 p.m., 40 hours per week with overtime as needed. 

Salary

Starting hourly rate will be $18.00.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Mig welding, including the following:

• Create quality welds
• Inspect welds for accuracy
• Prepare product to be welded by grinding, and placing in jig
• Change wire, welding, as needed.
• Change gas tanks, as needed
• Responsible for identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location for powder coating
• Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner
• Operate forklift, if required and trained.
• Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections
• Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
• Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
• Required to have proper and accurate entry into the time and attendance system.
• Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is continually active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching all day. The employee could life up to 50 pounds. 

EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:

Some welding experience is required, candidate does not need to be a certified welder.  Candidate will be trained.

EDUCATION: High school diploma.
