Job Title: CNC Setup Operator

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Setup Operator to join our precision machining team. This role involves setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes, working with a variety of materials. The candidate will spend 50% of their time machining plastics and the other 50% machining metals. Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to machine both plastics and metals per blueprint specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and GD&T symbols to ensure accurate machining.
• Install, adjust, and maintain tooling, work offsets, and fixture setups.
• Conduct first-article and in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.).
• Troubleshoot machine errors, tool wear, and minor mechanical issues to maintain productivity.
• Work closely with programmers and engineers to improve machining processes.
• Follow all safety protocols and quality control procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and lean manufacturing practices.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 24 months relevant CNC Operator experience
• Able to use basic hand and power tools
• Basic math
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to identify problems
• Able to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Able to read ruler/tape measure
• Basic computer skills
