Job Summary:
A Sanitation Second Shift position involves cleaning and sanitizing equipment, machinery, and facilities. This includes tasks like cleaning floors, walls, pipes, and ductwork, as well as disinfecting surfaces and ensuring food safety. The role also involves following established procedures, using cleaning chemicals, and maintaining records of sanitation activities.
Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitization:Thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all areas and equipment assigned, including production machinery, floors, walls, and other surfaces.

Chemical Handling:Safely handling and using cleaning and sanitizing chemicals according to safety protocols and instructions.

Equipment Maintenance:Disassembling and reassembling production equipment for cleaning purposes, and ensuring proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment, including CIP (Clean in Place) procedures.

Documentation:Accurately completing sanitation daily documentation, such as checklists and records.

Food Safety:Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, including adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Safety Compliance:Adhering to all safety guidelines, including lockout/tag out procedures, proper lifting techniques, and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) usage.

Communication:Communicating with supervisors and team members about any sanitation concerns or issues.

Shift Work:Working a second shift, typically from 4 p.m. to midnight or 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., as outlined in job descriptions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience in a food, safety, or sanitation industry is often preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety are essential.
- Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Physical Stamina: The ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry items, and perform repetitive tasks.
