$29.00-$36.00/hour DOE (with resume submission, virtual client interview & in-person client interview)

8am-5pm Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to join our growing HVAC company. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and have hands-on experience managing general ledger, journal entries, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), banking, payments, and payroll. This role may also involve supervising one or more accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all financial transactions.
· Process journal entries and reconcile accounts.
· Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
· Handle bank reconciliations and ensure timely processing of payments.
· Process payroll and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Generate financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closings.
· Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
· Work closely with management to improve financial processes and efficiency.
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
· Supervise and support accounting team members as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

· 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the HVAC, construction, or service industry.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks (required).
· Strong understanding of general ledger, journal entries, AP/AR, banking, and payroll.
· Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or a combination of experience and education.
