Now Hiring Order Expeditor/Receptionist in Irvine, CA
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $20ph-$23ph
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Good attendance
- Works effectively with company personal, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and particle business solutions; addressing others by name, tittle or other respectful identifier, and; respecting the diversity of our work force in actions, words and deeds.
- Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate person or location.
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and assists with scheduling meetings.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
- Interfaces with the purchasing department to expedite the high priority orders through the logistical operations (producing purchase orders, work orders, and packing slips
- Interfaces with management to resolve any procedural problems.
- Obtains quotes, product, and pricing information.
- Produces purchase orders, expedite orders, cancel, or modify orders.
- Maintains stock items to assure accurate material for production.
- Prepares paperwork to return items (i.e. Performa invoices, customs duty drawback applications, freight forwarding)
- Matches P.O. and requisitions.
- Enters inventory items into the computer.
- Produces custom reports, via the computer, to use for more detailed analysis.
- Initiates purchase orders for specific commodities.
- Expedites stock items and assists other department personnel.
- Maintains vendor base for purchased items and updates written and computerized records and files for efficient operation, as necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Presents professional communication and customer service skills – verbal, written, e-mails.
- Presents a professional appearance as well as presents a professional attitude with customers, distributors, vendors, and other company personnel.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
- Acts as Company representative at other company locations, or at other companies.
- Presents a professional appearance as well as presents a professional attitude with customers, distributors, vendors, and other company personnel.
- Ability to drive with valid driver’s license for valid Company reasons. Occasionally.
- Follows the procedures as presented in the Employee Handbook, Etiquette Brochure, department procedures, captures contact information, and follows verbal, written or diagram instructions as provided by supervisors and managers.
